Creative Space in a Digital Domain is a digital exhibition a part Black Digital Dance Revolution, commissioned by Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage. Black Dance Digital Revolution is a nationally significant project working with regional partners; Serendipity (Leicester), Northern School of Contemporary Dance (Leeds), Dance City (Newcastle), Dance Umbrella (London) and beyond to draw upon the dance heritage within these four cities. Dancers are asked to submit a one minute dance film in their favourite location of the city they are based in. These dance films will create the digital exhibition on billboards within our partner cities within the UK, for the countdown of Let’s Dance International Frontiers 2023 (LDIF23). Encouraging local students, dance artists and non-dancers, share their favourite dance styles or techniques, in the hopes to inspire people, to get up and dance, see dance and to be a part of Midlands leading dance festival, LDIF23.The chosen submitted videos will be a part of two aspects of the Black Digital Dance Revolution project:
Participants involved will need to confirm and sign a film and photography consent form for their video to be a part of the project and shared in public.
