Rioja Wine's 100km of Diversity Trade Tasting, Edinburgh - Registration Form

Rioja Wine UK is excited to announce the return of its 100km of Diversity trade tasting, a unique journey through the enchanting land of Rioja, a region that lives and breathes wine. This year, the event will be held in Edinburgh at five-star hotel, The Balmoral.

Venue: The Balmoral, 1 Princes Street, Edinburgh EH2 2EQ
Date and timings: Tuesday 15th October, 11am - 5pm

On Tuesday 15th October, join visiting wineries and importers for an educational journey through the region's three zones, a taste of its diverse terroir and its exceptional wines. There will be two seminars during the day hosted by Rioja wine experts, Sarah Jane Evans MW and Stuart Skea, Head Sommelier at Lyla Edinburgh.

Discover the diverse range of styles produced in the region from the finest Espumoso de Rioja, barrel-aged whites, refined rosados, classic Gran Reservas and everything in between.

11.30am - On-Trade Seminar - "How to create the ultimate Rioja wine list" with Stuart Skea

Award-winning sommelier, Stuart Skea from Edinburgh's fine dining restaurant Lyla, will take on-trade professionals through his perfect Rioja wine list, featuring an exciting line-up of renowned classics and more innovative offerings.


2pm - "Beyond the Classics" with Sarah Jane Evans MW

Join Rioja expert and Master of Wine, Sarah Jane Evans, for a not-to-be-missed seminar exploring the latest trends in the region along with the chance to taste some of the newest styles, categories and more. 

Wine Walkarounds with Isobel Salamon

Certified Rioja Educator, Isobel Salamon, will be hosting themed wine walkarounds throughout the day, giving trade professionals the chance to taste a curated selection of six wines, each showcasing the rich diversity and character of Rioja.
